Las Cruces Public Schools is preparing to celebrate the Class of 2026 with graduation ceremonies scheduled Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 at the Pan American Center on the campus of New Mexico State University.
Families and guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking, entry and security screening prior to each ceremony.
Graduation ceremonies will follow the same clear bag policy observed at New Mexico State University for athletic and special events. Guests are encouraged to review the policy before arriving at the Pan American Center, which includes, but is not limited to, clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no larger than 12”x 6” x 12”. There are some exceptions for medically necessary items and diaper bags.
Graduation ceremony times are as follows:
Friday, May 22
Mayfield High School – 9 a.m.
Arrowhead Park Early College High School – 1:30 p.m.
Las Cruces High School – 6 p.m.
Saturday, May 23
Centennial High School – 9 a.m.
Rio Grande Preparatory Institute – 1:30 p.m.
Organ Mountain High School – 6 p.m.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, balloons, large signs/photos or glass vases will not be permitted inside the Pan American Center. Also included on the list of prohibited items:
Air horns or artificial noisemakers
Flags of any kind
Beach balls or confetti cannons
Weapons or laser pointers
Fireworks
Outside food or beverages
Large umbrellas (compact umbrellas are permitted)
Smoking, including e-cigarettes or vaping devices
Animals other than ADA-compliant service animals
Professional cameras, tripods or selfie sticks
Parking will be available in the lots east and southeast of the Pan American Center.
For families and friends unable to attend commencement in person, LCPS-TV will livestream all ceremonies on our district YouTube channel, linked here for your convenience.
Translation services in multiple languages will also be available using a QR code published in each school’s commencement program.
