Las Cruces to host Mayfield at the Field of Dreams
Las Cruces High School will meet up with Mayfield High on Friday, Aug. 23. The longstanding rivalry game – one of the biggest in the nation since 1965 – will kick off the 2024 football season at 7 p.m. inside Las Cruces Public Schools’ Field of Dreams, located on the corner of Motel Boulevard and Tashiro Road.
Las Cruces will be the home team, with fans on the west side of the stands, and Mayfield will be the visiting team on the east side of the stadium. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., and parking spaces will be limited at the Field of Dreams. No RVs, tents or canopies will be allowed, and spaces are limited to one vehicle each.
Tickets to the game are $5 for adults and $2 for students, and all Las Cruces Public Schools middle and high school athletic events are now cashless. Fans will need to purchase tickets online using this link. LCPS is also offering annual passes, which includes 125 tickets to any athletic event for a student rate of $50, plus a processing fee of $4.50. Annual passes for adults are $150, plus a $9.50 processing fee. Annual passes are non-transferable and are good for pre-district, district, and local play only.
